Our second annual meeting was cohosted by the Souther Oregon Prescribed Fire Network and took place in Medford, Oregon on April 14-15th of this year. We had over 30 attendees and speakers from ODF, TNC, and OSU.
Our focus this year was on smoke and smoke management. Smoke is a major issue for prescribed fires because it can cause health issues in the community and form negative connotations around prescribed fire.

The next day 25 attendees ventured out to learn more about the Ashland Forest Resiliency Project. We got to spend a beautiful day in Ashland discovering how collaboration can transform and improve a forest.
